Reliance jio planning to provide free WiFi to all the haryana government colleges

As a part of promotion, Reliance jio to take the government college campus by providing free WiFi  which would also promote cashless transactions, said by the state's Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma.

He said that the Department of Higher Education has decided to set up free Reliance Jio Wi-Fi campuses in all the government colleges of the state.

"The Reliance Jio will deploy overall infrastructure for deployment of Wi-Fi  in all the government colleges free of cost. As part of the introductory offer for all government colleges, it will give 20 MB free usage per day per user for all students and staff for one year. Reliance Jio will also block all objectionable websites as per Government of India directions," he said, according to an official release here.

The minister said all the Principals of Government Colleges have been directed to provide suitable space and security for Wi-Fi and other relevant network equipment.

"They will also provide power supply for the equipment. However, Reliance Jio will pay the electricity bills so generated," he said.

Anyway this will be a another chance for advertisement targeted in students. They also plan to sponsor more WiFi spots for different colleges and public places
