The plan for providing this facility would also be extended to other important places of the city in the second phase. Among the places that would be having the facility include Anand Bhawan, Chandrashekar Azad park, a famous mall in the posh civil lines area, SRN hospital and MLN district hospital (Colvin hospital) crossing etc. These places are selected on the basis of heavy inflow of visitors in a given day.

In the third phase, WiFi facility will start working at district collectorate, United college Naini, BBS College Phaphamau, Nazareth hospital, Hindi Sahitya Sammalen, Lalla Chuungi (near women hostel of Allahabad University), and UPTEC office of civil Lines.

""The WiFi Zone facility would be well protected and smartphone users and laptop owners would be getting internet access without local area network (LAN) providing their equipment supports the same”, said Agnihotri. Every user will have to enter his 10 digit mobile number for availing the facility which will also serve as perfect security for us, in case of any misuse, he added.

The official further informed that the facility comes with a rider. “Every user will get half an hour of free usage, which can be availed in parts in a given 24 hours cycle, after which the user will be charged as per tariff charges”, he said. It is not that the facility would be absolutely free as the department would have to realise back the cost of installing the expensive facility too, he added.
