Airtel plans to launch 4 times data without any extra fees

Airtel are planning to launch a new 4 times of the normal data without any upfront fees. Last week Vodafone launches "double data" packs which provides twice the normal data. So to compete with offer the Airtel planning to launch this 4 times more data packs. This offer is for the prepaid customers. There is no official announcement of this offer yet. But according to the reports there may be announcement of this packs by January,2017.

The new packs are priced at Rs 253 and Rs 494, offering data benefits for as low as Rs 50/GB without any upfront fee.

For Rs 253, customers will get 4GB of data for 28 days where earlier they were getting the same data for Rs 748.

On recharging with Rs 494, customers can avail 10GB of data for 28 days. Earlier 10 GB of data was available at Rs 1248.

The disruptive move is expected to be further followed by Vodafone and Idea Cellular in a bid to keep hold on the subscriber base.

Bharti Airtel recently launched two new free voice calling packs at Rs 145 and Rs 345 respectively for its prepaid customers with substantial data benefits.

Following Airtel’s move, Vodafone and Idea Cellular also started offering unlimited free voice calling for prepaid customers, bundled with data benefits.
