Bharti Airtel on Monday said its 3G customers in the Delhi/NCR circle will now enjoy 4G like speeds, owing to “Dual Carrier” technology.
“As part of its ongoing network nationwide transformation initiative – Project Leap, Bharti Airtel, today rolled an upgraded mobile network in Delhi-NCR,” the company said in a statement.
According to the statement issued by Bharti ‘Dual Carrier’ technology essentially combines the spectrum capacities of two blocks of 5MHz each in the 2100 MHz band. Consequently, this technology significantly boosts network capacity delivering a much better mobile experience in terms of faster data speeds, better voice quality, and improved network coverage.
Ravindra Singh Negi, CEO for the Delhi/NCR, circle for Bharti Airtel said, “With ‘Dual Carrier’ technology, we will be able to deliver a seamless 4G experience across NCR.”
The statement further said that Airtel was the largest mobile operator in Delhi NCR with 11.43 million customers offering 4G, 3G and 2G services in the Capital.
