Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) receives Bluetooth certification

It appears that Samsung is planning to launch more than one smartphones under its A series in 2017. As another A-series smartphone from the company has received Bluetooth certification.

The certification also gives a glimpse into the handset’s specifications. As per the certification listing, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and feature 5.7-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. It’s likely to be powered Samsung’s own Exynos 7880 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage will likely be 32GB, expandable further via microSD cards.

As for the cameras, the upcoming Galaxy A7 (2017) will likely feature a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter, with both having the capability to record Full HD videos.

The handset is said to come with a 3,500mAh battery and will have 4G LTE, USB Type C, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS as major connectivity options. The listing further reveals that the Galaxy A7 (2017) will have IP68 rating, making it water and dust resistant.

The company recently launched its Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime smartphones in India. The former is a slightly upgraded variant of the previously launched Galaxy J7 (2016). The smartphone comes with better display, more RAM, better front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor.

Rest of the specifications are almost same as Samsung J7. Galaxy J5 Prime shares almost similar specifications as Galaxy J5 (2016). Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is priced at Rs 18,790 while Galaxy J5 Prime is priced at Rs 14,790. Both the smartphones come with features like S Power Planning and S Secure to boost battery life and hide apps.
