Today on a television address to announce news about extension of reliance jio welcome offer mukesh ambani said that the existing operators like airtel,idea,vodafone is not at all supporting reliance jio. About 9 crore jio calls are disconnected within the last month.

“We have not received the required support from our existing operators. In the last 3 months, nearly 900 crore voice calls from Jio to the networks of our three largest competitors were blocked,” Ambani said in a televised address Thursday.
In the recent past, after Jio’s commercial foray on September 5, there has been a bitter spat between the oil-to-logistic conglomerate, RIL’s telecom arm and incumbent telcos over points of interconnection which the former allege causing call failures for its newly-acquired subscribers.

Following the controversy, the telcos, however, sought telecom regulator Trai(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) intervention.
Mumbai-based Reliance Jio, on June 21, had asked the existing players to provide support to interconnect an estimated 22 million of its customers by June this year, 50 million by September, 75 million by December and 100 million subscribers by March 2017.
